De regreso

Acabo de terminar la remodelación de mi casa. Quiero agradecer ante todo, a los miles de correos de mis seguidores expresando su preocupación por esta prolongada ausencia. El mes que dejé de escribir en el blog, es por éste motivo… Y este cuadro es uno de los que escogí para decorar mi habitación.

Visto en imagen pequeña es una cosa. En 70cm x 70cm, luce realmente impactante sobre el fondo lila de la pared. Si tuviera que haberlo comprado , seguro lo hubiera hecho sin dudarlo. Menos mal lo hice yo, así que solo tuve que pagar el marco y el clavo en la pared. Faltan otros 3 cuadros que pienso poner, pero aun no me decido por cual. Hay tiempo. Al menos ya me libré del horrible olor a pintura y cemento.

Watching it in a small image it is a thing. In 70cm x 70cm, it looks really impressive on the lilac background of the wall. If I had to buy it, I had done it without doubting it. just as well I painted it , so I only had to buy the frame and the nail on the wall. Is missing other 3 pictures that I think to put, but I do not decide on which still. There are time. At least already I got away myself from the horrible smell of painting and cement.

Mujer con lentes

Es una de las pinturas que es inicialmente una foto a la que luego le he alterado la luz, el color, los tonos, y la saturación , pero la forma es casi la misma. El color de la cara es casi uniforme, dándole un aspecto plano, al igual que la bufanda, sin la presencia de luz que le dá siempre profundidad a los objetos. El resultado es una transición entre una foto y un dibujo. Salvo la mirada que se ocultaba detrás de unos lentes oscuros, se ha respetado la forma original de la foto. Se trataba de explorar al máximo las posibilidades del programa.

Hay quienes pueden pensar que presentar un trabajo de arte en computadora es fácil , que no tiene ningún mérito, pues el ordenador lo hace todo . Nada mas equivocado. Puede tomar horas conseguir un efecto, o una expresión. Es como creer que es suficiente con tener una pelota de futbol, para jugar como Messi.

En el caso del photoshop, hay que conocer las herramientas del programa, y aprender a expresarse a través de él.

This is one of the paintings which was initially a photo that then I altered the light, the color, the tones, and the saturation, but the shape is almost the same. The color of the face is almost uniform, giving it a plane aspect, as the scarf, without the presence of light that give it always depth at the objects. The result is a transition between a photo and a drawing. Except the look that was hiding itself behind a dark lenses, the original shape of the photo has been respected. The idea was to explore to the maximum the possibilities of the software.

There are people who can think that to show an art work made it by computer is easy, and there are not have any merit, since the computer does everything. Nothing more mistaken. It can take hours to obtain an effect, or an expression. It is like to believe that it is enough to have a football ball, and then to be able to play like Messi. In case of photoshop, it is necessary to know the tools of the software, and to learn to express through it.

Medusa

Esta fue la imagen principal de la exposición que hice en abril de 2007. Estuvo en los afiches y los trípticos que se repartieron a los invitados a la galería. Y también fue el primer cuadro que vendí.
